Efforts being made to get R&D benefits across-the-board

Nearly 150 members of Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) in a meeting here on Thursday condemned attempts of vested interests to sabotage the efforts for across the board extension to all exporters regarding R&D facility in the recently announced Textile Package.
Executive committee member Sohail Pasha moved a resolution in the meeting Chaired by Rana Arif Tauseef that many members of the Association were trying to get the R&D facility for non processor exporters as well.
But some vested interests are attempting to sabotage these efforts leveling baseless and false allegations on federal Textile Minister Mushtaq Ali Cheema just to settle their personal account. Wasim Latif former Senior Vice Chairman seconding the resolution that the exporters would not allow the vested interests to create differences among the exporters ranks.
We will maintain unity and would not let any one to create rift among us by twisting facts he said. The house unanimously carried the resolution and said that the exports were grateful to the federal government for extending the R&D facility to home textiles and made ups sector and this indeed was a big achievement of Mushtaq Ali Cheema, Textile Minister.
Rana Arif Tauseef, Chairman said that he was consistently making efforts to get the R&D benefits across the boards for all exporters whether they are processors or non processors. He said that the PTEA has never opposed the textile package as alleged rather have appreciated the good efforts of Mushtaq Ali Cheema and have the thanked the prime minister and his colleagues for their keen interest in the promotion of the exporters from the country.
