Hearing put off in judicial killing case

The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday adjourned till first week of September, hearing in a suo motu proceedings against extra judicial killing of one Mazhar Iqbal as investigating officer Captain Zubair (Retd) sought time to interrogate the case.
Captain Zubair (Retd) informed the court that Mazhar was involved in criminal activities and wanted to police in several cases including attack on police parties. On the said incident, a police party was chasing him and as a result of police encounter, Mazhar died in encounter. The court accordingly put off the proceedings for further hearing.
