Rs 31 million for water supply schemes in Shah Faisal Town

Shah Faisal Town Nazim Muhammad Imran on Friday said that City District Government Karachi (CDGK) had approved Rs 31 million for water supply schemes in different localities of the town and added that work on these schemes would soon be kicked off.
The areas include Natha Khan Goth, Azeemabad and Iqbalabad of union council No 1, Tandoor Colony, Al Haider Society, Rahmanabad No 1 and Sadat Colony.
He said this while exchanging views with the representatives of town including Naib Nazim Ali Akbar, councillors Aslam Qureshi, Kausar, Shugufta, CE KWSB Muhammad Imran, XEN Aamir Waqar and others, who met him at his office.
He said through these funds a water supply pumping station would be built and two new water supply pumps would also be installed that would prove helpful for the UC 1 and 2 and its adjoining areas.
He said in order to facilitate citizens, town administration had started uplift projects in the town on emergency basis. He said that areas of UC-1 Iqbalabad, Azeemabad and its surrounding shanties were part of Cantonment Board Faisal, but through a one-sided decision they were excluded from the Cantonment.
He alleged that responsible person did not pay attention on solving the issues of these areas in the past that multiplied the problems.
