Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) on Friday urged the Muslim world to get united and declare war against Israel to save Muslims of Lebanon and Palestine from the Zionists aggression.
The demand was made at a largely attended protest demonstration organised by the MMA here to protest against the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and Palestine. Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, MNA and other MMA leaders including Maulana Abdul Majeed Hazarvi, Shamsur Rehman Swati, Dr Hafizur Rehman and Raza Ahmed Shah led the demonstration.
The MMA leaders were of the view that the apologetic attitude of leadership of Muslim countries had encouraged Israel. If not stopped, Israel would target other Muslim countries including Iran, Syria and Pakistan, they said adding that Muslims all over the world must realise gravity of the danger. The speakers asked the leaders of Muslim countries to raise their voices against death and destruction in Palestine and Lebanon.
They said that more than 1,200 people have been killed, thousands injured and more than a million rendered homeless during the last two weeks. They deplored that the leadership of Muslim world is watching as a silent spectator.
They dubbed OIC an ineffective body saying that it had failed to stop the aggression on Lebanon and Palestine and even it has not succeeded in summoning an extra-ordinary meeting to condemn the Israeli excesses. In December 2005, OIC adopted a resolution saying that attack or aggression on any Muslim country would be considered attack on Muslim World and would be dealt with in a befitting manner, the MMA leaders said adding that so far this spirit is invisible in Lebanon.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, MNA said that government should raise the slogan of Islam first in spite of Pakistan first. "Islam is identity of Pakistan and it would survive only when it would follow the Islam in true letter and spirit", he added.
Muslim world should express complete solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon and take measures to stop the aggression once for all and if Israel and its godfather America were not stopped then Iran, Syria and Pakistan would be its next target, he said.
