On the occasion, Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that anti-government movement has launched and in the first phase a public meeting against the government would be held at Minar-e-Pakistan on August 14, adding that they want to get rid of the public from President Pervez Musharraf and US conspiracy.
He pointed out that the present problems result of the violation of 1973 constitution and hoped that Karachi and Quetta protest demonstrations would play an effective role in anti-government movement.
Qazi said that the protest movement would continue till removal of the government. While addressing the news conference, Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that the time has come that the opposition to unite and play their role to provide rights to the people and resolve their problems.
To a question, he said that their dialogue with the ARD leaders has been continuing and hoped that the successful talks of the two alliances would play an important role in the country politics.
On this occasion, Amin Fahim warned that anti-government movement would be launched till its removal if it not implements the deadline of July 31. He said that they have completed their negotiations with the MMA leadership and there was complete harmony between the two alliances but no date has yet been fixed and final date would be fixed in next meetings.
Meanwhile, Qazi Hussain Ahmad termed Muttahida Qaumi Movement ministers' resignations as tactics of government and MQM and added it aim was to prevent the opposition parties from antigovernment movement. He made it clear that conspiracy could not stop the opposition parties from movement against anti-masses government.
He said this during talks with newsmen at Karachi airport along with Maulana Fazalur Rehman. Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that they would not hold dialogue with the government in the context of the MQM ministers' resignations. On this occasion, Mualana Fazalur Rehman said that it was internal issue of the government and MQM and the MMA has no interest in it.
