I am surprised that many people considered Qazi Hussain Ahmad as the flag-bearer of democracy! I want to question these people to know had not Qazi was the man who completely sided with General Zia-ul-Haq, a dictator! He was rather a part of his shura.
He never asked him to remove the uniform or he never asked his party to start a pro-democracy march against General Zia. Qazi Hussain Ahmad for the first time asked his party to march against Benazir in her tenure, a pure democratic government and when her government fell Qazi said that we made the government of Benazir fall!
He asked the Jamaat-i-Islami to march towards Islamabad in Nawaz Sharif's tenure and when his government fell he credited himself as the main reason. Hence he himself accepted that he was the man responsible for the fall of four democratic governments. He never did the same against General Zia.
Now again although the president is a military man under him a democratic government elected by the people of Pakistan, is working and now again he has threatened to remove the Prime Minister or destabilise the assembly by resigning.
That means he is working against a stable democracy! I think Qazi has done each and every action, which goes against democracy! So how come he is the flag-bearer of democracy?
