The Karachi Port handled 82,753 tonnes of cargo including 59,767 tonnes import, 22,986 tonnes export cargo and 3,009 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 60,701 tonnes dry cargo including 35,208 tonnes general cargo; 3,348 tonnes sugar; 8,091 tonnes fertiliser; 2,214 tonnes cement; 7,177 tonnes coal; 4,663 tonnes steel scrap and 22,052 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Cape Santiago, Stolt Azalea, Palessa, Qin Hai, SC Fortitude and Mol Asante sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, Dareen, Yasmine, Lalazar, Jo Sycamore and Holly Galaxy are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Mac Aandresew Swala, Man Pung and Holly Galaxy expected to sail on Saturday, while six vessels viz Ocean Morning, Yang Jiang He, Kota Tabah, Dareen, Worada Naree and Al-Jaber XV are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Yang Jiang He, Malakand and Swift due to arrive on Saturday, while three ships namely Oel Aishwarya, Multan and Ikan Selar are due to arrive on Sunday.
Seven ships namely Viscaya, MT Swat, Victoria-1, Southern Imperial, Iran Sattari, Tai He and Iron Butterfly are due to arrive on Monday.
