Three Bugti commanders and their six associates laid down their arms before authorities in Dera Bugti on Sunday. According to details, three Commander Ali Sher, Kamdar and Sher Baz and six of their associates surrendered to the authorities in Dera Bugti.
They also handed over their weapons to the authorities. These included rocket launcher, anti aircraft gun, Kalashnikovs and hundreds of rounds.
Meanwhile, some 830 families consisting of 5500 individuals of Marhatta Bugtis, a sub-clan of Bugti tribe will return to their native homes in Dera Bugti on Monday.
Sojo Khan Marhatta Bugti and Ghulam Muhammad Marhatta Bugti will lead the caravan, DCO Dera Bugti Abdul Samad Lasi told APP on Sunday.
The DCO said that these people were living in Sibi, Dera Allah Yar, Osta Muhammad, Mach, Dera Murad Jamali and other areas of the province and left their native town after December 17, 2005, when an operation was launched against miscreants and fararis.
He said the government would provide protection to the convoy, which would comprise about 200 vehicles. In this regard all arrangements have been finalised.
The DCO said the law and order in Dera Bugti has been restored and writ of law has been established. People are pleased on their return to homes.
Sojo Khan while talking to APP said the other 3000 people of Marhatta Bugtis who are living in different areas of Sindh and Punjab would also be brought back to their native villages under supervision of the government.
