City police on Sunday registered cases against leaders of various parties, including opposition leader in Sindh Assembly, for taking out a rally against proposed city government status for Hyderabad and made speeches against the government. However no arrest has been made so far.
Those who were booked included Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Awami Tehrik chief Rasul Bux Palijo, STPP chairman Dr Qadir Magsi, Sindh MMA general-secretary Senator Dr Khalid Mehmud Soomro, Sindh PML-N acting president Salim Zia, Ayub Shar, Hari Committee president Azhar Jatoi, Hyderabad PPP president MPA Zahid Bhurgri and others.
An official of the city police station said they had registered case against 25 persons, including leaders of various parties, under section 147, 148, 427, 337, 353, 504, 506 and 188 of PPC.
