Seven Nazimeen held in Muzaffargarh

Muzaffargarh Police have arrested seven Nazimeen from their homes who had planned to stage a demonstration on Monday in front of Punjab Assembly against undemocratic tactics being employed by Punjab Chief Minister.
When contacted District Nazim Muzaffargarh Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi said," I was enjoying the support of 80 out of 128 members of the house but Punjab Chief Minister wanted to remove me in undemocratic way.
DCO had disconnected my electricity and telephone connections and refused to pay fuel bill," He said that he was an elected representative of 2.5 million people but the Government was trying to destroy its own system of devolution of power. He alleged that Tehsil Nazim Kotadu Malik Rafiq Khar was arrested on Saturday but he was released when he assured that he would take part in no-trust motion against Qayyum Jatoi.
Police have arrested following Nazimeens Muhammad Jamshed Dasti, Malik Javed Hinjra, Rai Abid Pirhar, Zulfikar Valvet, Shamsuddin Panuha, Malik Jind Wadda Joiya and Malik Salim Maddu and were conducting raids to arrest the others. When contacted the DPO Rai Tahir said," We had arrested the Nazimeen who were involved in criminal cases, Jamshed Dasti was involved in Oil-Tanker dacoity and extortion of money from oil-Tankers, Zulfikar Valvet was involved in oil-theft, Shamsuddin was involved for providing shelter to proclaimed offenders and Jinda Wadda Joiya was involved in injuring his opponent.
