AJK premier calls on Punjab chief minister

The newly-elected prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Atiq Ahmed, along with a delegation of members of AJK Legislative Assembly, called on Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi here on Sunday.
Both sides discussed national and political situation in AJK and ongoing efforts pertaining to rehabilitation of earthquake-affected people and the process of reconstruction there.
Pervaiz Elahi also greeted Sardar Atiq on being elected as the AJK prime minister.
He said that Muslim Conference had shown an outstanding performance in the recent elections, and hoped that the new government will do its utmost for the well being of the people of AJK.
The chief minister hoped that the newly- elected government will accelerate the process of rehabilitation and reconstruction in earthquake-hit areas in AJK.
