Fazl may meet Nawaz in London on August 1

Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) Secretary General Fazlur Rehman is likely to visit London on Tuesday to meet Nawaz Sharif. MMA sources told Business Recorder on Sunday that Fazl would be holding 'crucial meetings' with Nawaz Sharif. "The two will discuss how to push the Shaukat-led government out of power," MMA sources said.
The visit comes within a week after MMA announced it would join ARD in its bid to oust the Shaukat Aziz government.
Experts believe that the visit itself and especially its timing will have deep impact on Pakistan's future political scenario. It is pertinent to note that Qazi and Fazl have developed serious differences and they differed on many occasions when it came to launch an anti-government campaign.
However, last week ARD leaders Zafar Iqbal Jhagra and Pervez Ashraf met Fazl at his residence and invited him to support the alliance in its no-trust motion against the Prime Minister.
The opposition is likely to submit the motion to the National Assembly before August 14.
Fazl also spoke to Nawaz and had assured him that he would visit London to finalise the strategy of forming a 'grand' opposition alliance besides supporting the no-trust motion.
According to MMA sources, Fazl will depart for UK on Tuesday where he would meet Nawaz.
