Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 27,334 tonnes of cargo including 19,204 tonnes import, 8,130 tonnes export cargo and 344 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 13,347 tonnes dry cargo including 12,715 tonnes general cargo; 60 tonnes sugar; 385 tonnes fertiliser; 120 tonnes cement; 67 tonnes other and 13,987 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
No ships sailed out to sea during the report period. One vessel viz Iran Sattari is currently at the berth. Four ships namely Viscaya, Spyros B, Yasmine and Iran Sattari expected to sail on Tuesday, while two vessels viz Tai He and Lalazar are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Two vessels viz Apl Jeddah and Iron Butterfly due to arrive on Tuesday, while ten ships namely MT Johar, MT Swat, Apl Jeddah, Victoria-1, Hyundai Highway, Orient Independence, Maersk Alabama, El Temerario, Athloforos, Thor Jasmine and Persia are due to arrive on Wednesday.

Three ships namely CV Saudi Diriyah, CV MSC Lauren and CV Mol Kauri sailed out to sea during the report period, while container ship namely CV Mega-1 is expected to sail on Tuesday.
A total of three vessels viz Saudi Diriyah, Mega-1 and Constantinos are currently at the outer anchorage. Three ships namely CV Sealand Mariner, CV ACX Marguerite and MT Anette Kosan due to take berths on Tuesday. Container ship namely MSC Basel due to arrive on Tuesday, while two more ships namely CMA CGM Nilgai and MT Al-Maqwa with containers and diesel oil are due to arrive on Wednesday.
