The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has reduced the cost and freight (C&F) value on the import of potato chips (55 grms) from $85.39 to $0.191 for the assessment of sales tax. The board has amended SRO 732(I)/2006 through a notification issued on Tuesday.
According to the notification, the C&F value of the potato chips (55 grms) falling under the Pakistan Customs Tariff (PCT) heading 19.05 and 20.05 would be $0.191 for the calculation of sales tax at the import stage.
