'Grain market not being shifted'

City District Nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar has said that the grain market will not be shifted outside the city without the consent of traders, commission agents and other stakeholders.
Speaking at a reception, given in his honour on Wednesday, he assured the office-bearers of the Grain Market Association and Commission Agents Association that they would be provided all basic amenities.
The District Nazim, accompanied by District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Iftikhar Babar said all problems being faced by the commission agents would be solved on priority basis.
Commission Agents Association President Alam Qureshi and Administrator of Market Committee Tariq Abdullah demanded that the sewerage problems of grain market should also be solved. Iftikhar Babar asked the town Nazim to provide street lights in the grain market.
On the occasion, the City District Nazim said that cattle pens had already been shifted to Gawala Colony, while Iron-market would soon be shifted to suitable place.
