One held, arms recovered

Rawalpindi police on Wednesday arrested one person and recovered arms and explosives from his possession. A police patrolling party of the New Town Police Station was on its routine duty when they stopped a person named Waqar Ahmed, of Quetta, at Dhok Naju bridge. The accused tried to escape but the police party chased and arrested him.
Upon search, the police recovered five hand grenades, three pistols and a dagger besides a huge quantity of bullets from his bag. A case has been registered and investigations are underway.
