A warehouse of the latest mines safety equipment has been set up from where mine owners are provided these equipment on no-profit-no-loss basis. Punjab Mines and Minerals Minister Muhammad Sibtain Khan stated this while presiding over a meeting of Chief Inspectorate of Mines (CIM) here on Thursday.
The minister said the warehouse had been set up at Katas, Chakwal district. The meeting was informed that rescue and safety stations had been set up in Choa-Saden Shah, Makrawal and Khushab to ensure the safety of mine workers, while new rescue sub-stations would soon be established at Manara, Khushab district and Dandot, Chakwal district.
