Light rain forecast for Karachi

The meteorological department on Thursday forecast the cloudy weather with chances of light rains during next 24 hours in the metropolis. According to the met office official, due to the absence of thick masses of water in the sky only light showers in short spell and in different hours are expected during next 24 to 48 hours.
On Thursday, minimum temperature 25.8 degree centigrade and maximum 29 degree centigrade were recorded while 88 percent humidity was in the air. The high ratio of humidity in the air will only maintain the cloudy weather with light rains.
During last 24 hours, 10 mm rain at Masroor Base, 5.4 mm at Karachi Airport, 2.2 mm at Model Observatory, 5.4 mm at Karachi University, and 6.6 mm in North Karachi was recorded. While rain in other parts of province was recorded at 6.2 mm in Badin, 3 mm in Padidan and one mm in Chore.
Light rains have also been forecast in lower Sindh including Mitti, Badin, Thar, Hyderabad, Umer Kot, Mirpurkhas, while cloudy weather prevailed during last 24 hours. On Thursday, minimum temperature in Hyderabad was 25.5 degree centigrade and maximum 27 degree centigrade, in Chore 22.5 degree centigrade and 30 degree centigrade, Rohri 27 degree centigrade and 37 degree centigrade, Nawabshah 26.8 degree centigrade and 33 degree centigrade, Padidan 27.5 degree centigrade and 35 degree centigrade, Larkana 25. 5 degree centigrade and 37.5 degree centigrade and in Jacobabad 28.8 degree centigrade and 37 degree centigrade.
According to the met office, since July 29 till now 99 mm rain in the city has been recorded.
