Exporters, banks asked to send freight subsidy claims

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has advised all the exporters and their banks to ensure sending their freight subsidy-related documents for claims, which are eligible for freight subsidy under the procedure notified for the year 2004-05 vide EPB public notice of October 25, 2004, to the auditors in EPB through National Bank, FTC Branch, Karachi latest by August 31.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, after receipt of these documents, the auditors would process them as per procedure of freight subsidy programme for the above year and issue necessary payments advice to the NBP branch, if the claims are eligible and approved. EPB would not process any freight subsidy claim after August 31, the statement added.-PR
