Corn futures at the Chicago Board of Trade closed flat to firm on Friday in choppy light volume trade with a return to hot and dry weather next week in the Midwest keeping a firm foundation under the market, traders said.
CBOT corn closed unchanged to 1/2 cent per bushel higher, with September unchanged at $2.45 per bushel. New-crop December was up 1/4 at $2.62-1/4.
