At least 8,000 lawyers of Southern Punjab on Saturday observed strike to express solidarity with the Lebanese people and to condemn the Israeli aggression at the call of Punjab Bar Council. They boycotted their professional duties and did not appear before any court.
Hearing of all cases was adjourned for next date," we were expressing solidarity with our Lebanese brethren by observing strike and we have decided to send food and relief goods for them," President of High Court Bar Association Multan, Mehmood Ashraf Khan said.
"We appeal to G-8 countries to come forward for ceasefire in Lebanon and push back the Israeli forces from Lebanon," President of District Bar Association, Syed Athar Ali Shah said.
