An International symposium on "Sustainable crop improvement and integrated management" would be organised by Faculty of Agriculture, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) in connection with the centennial celebrations of the university. Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad has constituted various committees to make the event a great success.
According to a spokesman of UAF, themes of symposium are recent trends and strategies in crop breeding, farm production and mechanisation, innovative trends in plant protection, resource conservation strategies, WTO and SPS concerns and crop growth modelling.
Scientists and eminent scholars from all over the globe will attend the international symposium, which will prove as milestone in the context of modern agricultural trends and productivity.
Moreover, President of Pakistan has awarded "Madr-e-Millat Mohtrama Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal to Professor Dr Rakhshanda Nawaz, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad for her remarkable achievements in the field of education and research.
