An accountability court on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of former chairman Wapda, Lieutenant General Zahid Ali Akbar (Retd) as he failed to appear before the court. The prosecution informed the court that the accused is abroad, hence he failed to appear before the court.
The court however, issued non-bailable arrest warrants of the accused. The accused has been facing the charges of corruption and making illegal assets in excess of his income. He has also been facing the charges of shifting a huge amount abroad.
