'NWFP government takes unprecedented steps for employees welfare'

The NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani, while upgrading four posts of deputy directors of Livestock Department to grade 19 has said his government was taking unprecedented steps for the welfare of government employees.
In response to the government's favourable steps, the official machinery should also respond in a similar spirit and sincerely play their active role for implementation of the government's agenda for development of the province and prosperity of its people.
This he announced while addressing as Chief Guest at the reception of Pakistan veterinary Medical Association in Peshawar. Provincial Minister Agriculture, Livestock and Dairy Development Qari Mehmood Ahmad, Provincial Secy. Arbab Shahrukh, MPAs and a large number of notables were also present on this occasion.
Addressing the reception, chief minister said the government would take every possible step for promotion and welfare of government servants. However, the government would also expect them to perform their duties with dedication and honesty. He added that the government would also take serious action against those guilty of any kind.
Durrani said the lot of the people of the Province could be alleviated through agriculture and livestock as 85 per cent of the people of the Province were attached with these lines. He said the government would take stern action against fake medicine companies.
The chief minister, on this occasion appreciated the efforts of provincial agriculture minister and Secy. For what he added their untiring efforts for promotion of these sectors.
