About 73,000 families to be benefitted from SRS

Dynamism of Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi coupled with the vision of President Pervez Musharraf and policies of Prime Minister, Shaukat Aziz have made Punjab a model welfare province.
Provincial Minister for Communication and Works, Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din stated this while inaugurating a sale point for Sasta Ration Scheme (SRS) of Chief Minister Punjab at Madina Town.
He said the focal point of the government policies was to facilitate masses and SRS will give much needed relief to the low-income groups. He said that 73000 families would get subsidised flour, sugar and pulses under this scheme through 56 sale points established in the district.
Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din lauded the commitment, devotion and leadership qualities of Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and said that he had introduced revolutionary policies to resolve the people's problems. He particularly mentioned education and health sector reforms and said that reliable communication network has further boosted the economic activities in Punjab.
He said that government was now fully concentrating to pass on the benefits of economic progress and prosperity to the poor.
The minister said that parties fighting against each other during last two decades were now staging a drama in the name of democracy to grab power.
He said that people of Pakistan were fully mature and understand the conspiracies hatched by vested interest and would foil their designs to reverse the process of development, progress and prosperity initiated by the present regime, he added.
