US MIDDAY: coffee dips

US arabica coffee futures dipped, on Tuesday, settling on negative ground although speculative short-covering amid tight robusta supply helped the market recover from a much wider loss, traders said.
The New York Board of Trade's arabica coffee contract for September delivery slipped 0.05 cent to finish at $1.0710 a lb after dealing from $1.0525 to $1.0740. December arabica likewise eased 0.05 cent to end at $1.1105 a lb and back months also shed 0.05 cent.
