While appreciating the Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi for providing commodities at affordable prices to the poor people, President Citizens Rights Association (CRA) Nasir Ahmed has urged the government to control power and fuel prices as well.
Addressing the executive committee members during a monthly review meeting of the CRA, Nasir Ahmed said the government has taken a right step by allowing production of ethanol fuel. It would ease down oil prices as an alternate fuel provided the government ensures 100 percent usage of ethanol through flex fuel engines in the country, he added.
Nasir said the long queues at the CNG and LPG stations also demand early introduction of ethanol fuel technology in the country.
According to him, the rising prices of petrol and electricity are putting the industrial growth on the back gear and there is a need to revive the situation at the earliest. He hoped that the government would take situation seriously and further steps to improve situation regarding ethanol fuel technology would be introduced in the larger interest of the consumers and the country.
