Dollar trading in Kazakhstan hit a record high of $364 million on Wednesday as cash inflows from booming oil revenues continued to fuel domestic trading volumes. The previous all-time high was seen in April when dollar volumes hit $362 million, the KASE exchange said in a statement.
The Kazakh tenge currency fell to 122.56 against the dollar on Wednesday from 122.35 on Tuesday. Kazakhstan relies heavily on oil exports.
