Sialkot DPO vows to improve law, order situation

District Police Officer (DPO) Zubair Nawaz Chattha has said that strenuous efforts were being made for improving the law and order situation for ensuring the protection of the life and property of the people in Sialkot district.
In an informal chat with reporters here on Friday afternoon he pledged that Sialkot police would be tracked on right direction for restoring the confidence of people on police.
Zubair Chattha said people were feeling insecure and harassment but strategy had been evolved for defusing such feelings and confidence of people on police would be re-erect in the district. The citizen of the district would feel improvement and feel secure and harassment-free environment in the district, he said.
The DPO Sialkot said that in order to bringing down the crime scale extraordinary efforts were being made to minimise the root causes of litigation because the tendency of litigation is the main thing in generating crimes in the society. About the registration of FIR, he said that people could register the FIRs in their respective police stations and any slackness in this regard would not be tolerated.
Zubair Chattha said the police deputed at check post had no concern with the checking of driving license and other documents at check points adding that the step had been taken for avoiding humiliation of citizen.
The DPO Sialkot underscored the need of close liaison between police and national press for the improvement of efficiency of police and requested press media to pinpoint the flaws for the betterment of law and order situation in the district.
