SIE to help boost Punjab GDP by 25 percent

The completion of Sundar Industrial Estate (SIE) and an impressive increase in the industrial activity would enhance Punjab`s gross domestic product (GDP) by more then 25 percent, said Provincial Secretary Industries Anwar Ahmad Khan during his visit to the Estate.
The newly appointed Provincial Secretary of Industries was welcomed as a board member by the Chairman Punjab Industrial Estates (PIE), Mohsin Syed on his arrival at SIE. Director Punjab Industrial Estates (PIE), Mansoor Abbas and other industrialists belonging to SIE were present at the occasion.
The Secretary Industries said Punjab`s industrial production volume was likely to increase with the activation of industrial units in 47 different sectors at the Estate.
According to Chairman, the SIE had turned into a role model with the availability of world-standard infrastructure. A new benchmark would emerge in the provincial industrial output, with the heavy inflow of domestic and international investment in the Estate, he added.
He appreciated the efforts made by the managements and staff for timely completion of the infrastructural facilities and expressed the hope that the Estate would get completed well in time.
Mohsin Syed, told the Secretary that development work at the Phase II of the Multan Industrial Estate was at full swing besides-the-work at the SIE and the Chief Minister Punjab was all set to inaugurate Multan Phase II soon.
