Prime Minister approves residential scheme for government servants

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has approved a scheme to provide a house to the civilian officers of BPS-17 and above, with at least 25 years of service.
According to the Ministry of Housing and Works, the Prime Minister gave approval to the scheme, meeting a long-standing demand of the government employees.
Under the scheme the federal government officials belonging to all occupational groups will be provided a house on the lines of Pakistan Army Welfare Directorate.
The ministry of Housing has asked all the Ministries to submit a copy of seniority list or gradation list of officers of different occupational groups under their administrative control.
