Bears strengthened their positions at the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) where major players and short-term margin hunters adopted cautious approach on the first trading day of the week amid decrease index.
ISE 10-index was down by 10.78 points, as it moved from 2,709.61 to 2,698.83 points. The volume of trade stood at 67,500 shares as compared to previous turnover of 410,000 shares.
Total 100 companies participated in buying and selling activity. Majority of stock (75) landed in minus column, 24 closed in positive territory, whereas one company remained pegged to its previous level.
The turnover of OGDCL was 311,000 shares as compared to previous volume of 65,000 shares. The volume of Pakistan Petroleum was 11,000 shares as compared to previous turnover of 67,300 shares. The turnover of Fauji Fertiliser Bin Qasim was 10,500 shares as compared to previous volume of 156,500 shares.
