Pakistani authorities on Tuesday arrested a group of 27 suspected Taliban fighters after a raid on a private hospital in Quetta, police said. Ten wounded Taliban and 17 uninjured militants were arrested from the private Al-Khair hospital in Quetta, police chief Chaudhry Mohammed Yaqub told AFP.
Initial investigations showed that the ten Taliban were injured by rockets and bullets in clashes in the southern Afghan province of Helmand and came to Quetta for treatment a few days ago, he said. Around 200 Taliban insurgents were arrested by Pakistani police last month from Baluchistan.
