'Countrywide fingerprinting facility soon'

Federal Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, talking to a private TV news channel, has stated that the entire country will soon have fingerprinting facility. He said the government was taking measures to improve performance and efficiency of the police, and added the project regarding fingerprinting had been approved.
To a question he said: "We have a data bank," and added the facility of fingerprinting would soon be provided at police station level in the four provinces. To another question, he said some technical problems were being faced at the central cell, and within seven to 10 days, these technical problems would be removed.
