Wapda officers and employees, all over the country, celebrated the Independence Day of Pakistan in a graceful manner on Monday. The day dawned with special prayers for integrity, solidarity and progress of Pakistan after Fajr prayer in the mosques of Wapda colonies and projects.
Chairman Wapda, Tariq Hamid hoisted the national flag on Wapda House in presence of the members of the authority, officers and staff serving in Lahore in line with the national flag hoisting ceremony in the federal capital. The assemblage led by Wapda schools children then sang the national anthem in consonance with the national ceremony.
