AJK plans to launch micro credit scheme

Azad Jammu & Kashmir government has chalked out a comprehensive plan to provide job opportunities to the unemployed educated youth under the spirit to overcome the unemployment problem in the area under a phased programme, official sources said.
The sources told APP here on Wednesday that priorities had been fixed to create more jobs in the private and public sector institutions through launching of a broad-based micro credit scheme to extend soft term loans to the jobless educated youth to set up their own business.
Steps are also being taken to produce the skilled workers in various fields through their participation in the short and long-term training programmes in the state-run vocational institutions, the sources revealed.
Besides, hundreds of new jobs in the state-run institutions will be available during the current fiscal year, the sources said adding that colossal funds had been allocated to provide maximum job opportunities for the skilled and semi-skilled classes especially the unemployed educated youths. Various ministries and corporations have also planned to launch various development projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
