Eight killed as rain lashes Karachi

As least eight people were killed including a woman in rain-related incidents here, on Thursday. The city received heavy rain coupled with thunderstorm, according to a meteorological report around 100mm rainfall was recorded.
According to details, one person was electrocuted in the jurisdiction of Artillery Maidan police station. Another person was electrocuted in Malir city, one Arshad was killed due to electric shock in Usmanabad, Lyari, one in Bahadurabad another was killed of electric shock near Radio Pakistan while one woman became a victim of electric wires in Sharafabad.
One person was killed as the wall of a house collapsed in New Chali while one person was killed in an accident occurred due to the water accumulation on roads in Korangi area. The deceased could not be identified because the ambulances could not reach the spots due to severe traffic jam on the city roads.
