Indus in high flood at Sukkur

River Indus at Sukkur was in high flood and water level was falling while at Guddu it was in medium flood and water level was falling; similarly, at Kotri Barrage water was in low flood but water level was rising.
According to the Flood Forecasting Division here on Friday, at Tarbela, water inflow was 232,000 cusecs and outflow was 198.6000 cusecs. At Sukkur, water inflow was 516.6000 cusecs and outflow was 483.9000 cusecs. The water level at Tarbela Dam was reached 1548.40 feet and at Mangla Dam it was 1201.35 feet.
According to the Meteorological Department Lahore, fairly widespread rain with isolated heavy showers was expected over Sindh and adjoining Balochistan. Isolated rainfalls may also occur over upper catchments of all the rivers and NWFP. Isolated rain was also expected in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Sargodha Divisions while mainly dry weather was forecasted for Bahawalpur Division.
