President and Prime Minister greet Afghanistan on Independence Day

President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have sent greetings to Afghanistan on its independence day being celebrated on August 19.
President Musharraf in his message to President Hamid Karzai said, "We have shared interests and perceptions and joint stakes in peace and stability, Pakistan is keen to further deepen and expand the ties of friendship and co-operation with Afghanistan."
He said, "I am sure our relations will continue to grow to the mutual benefit of the two brotherly peoples." President Musharraf said, "It gives me great pleasure to extend to your excellency my greetings on the auspicious occasion of the national day of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan."
In his message, President Musharraf said, "Please accept, excellency, my best wishes for your personal health and happiness as well as for the continued progress and well-being of the brotherly people of Afghanistan."
Meanwhile, PM Shaukat Aziz in his message to Afghan President said, "On behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan as well as on my own behalf, I wish to extend warmest felicitations to your excellency on the auspicious occasion of the national day of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan."
Prime Minister said, "Pakistan attaches high priority to close brotherly relations with Afghanistan, which have grown steadily over the years." He said, "I am confident that with mutual goodwill, understanding and continued co-operation, our two peoples would move further closer to each other."
In his message the Prime Minister further said, "I wish you, long life, health and happiness and the brotherly people of Afghanistan continued progress and prosperity."
