'Tax-free industrial zone to be set up in Pasrur'

Provincial Labour and Human Resources Minister, Syed Akhtar Hussain Rizvi has said that necessary arrangements were being finalised for setting up "Tax-Free" industrial zone for ten year in Pasrur.
Talking to reporters in Pasrur on Friday evening he added that the proposed tax-free zone would catch the attention of business communities of Sialkot, Narowal and Gujrat in establishing different industrial units in the zone.
The functioning of tax-free in the area would help in further accelerating the pace of export activities as well as open the new era of development and prosperity in Pasrur, he said.
Akhtar Rizvi said that the government had introduced flexible and business-friendly policies for ensuring maximum foreign investment as well as expanding strong industrial base in the Province. A large number of overseas Pakistanis and foreign investors had showed their willingness to invest in various trade fields in Punjab, he said.
The Punjab Labour Minister said that the large-scale establishment of industries would not only help speed up the trade and commerce activities but also generate employment opportunities for the educated and skilled people.
In addition to this, two workers welfare schools for male and females and one Ploy Technical College would also be set up in Pasrur, he revealed.
He said that regular functioning of these institutions would provide an opportunity to the male and female students in getting education at local level. The proposed projects would be accomplished at a cost of Rs 5 billion and Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudary Pervez Elahi would perform stone laying ceremony of these projects in October next, he disclosed.
