Rs 220 million for replacing old water pipelines

Punjab government has approved a special grant of Rs 220 million for replacing rusty and rotten water pipelines in Sialkot city. Official sources told Business Recorder here on Saturday that Public Health Department would start work on this project soon.
The concept of laying new water pipelines was to provide contamination free drinkable water to the citizen as well as to reduce the wastage of water in Sialkot city, sources added. Under the plan water meters would also be installed at each water connection in Sialkot.
