The ministry of religious affairs has directed the interested Zaireen of annual Urs of Hazrat Amir Khusro (RA) that they may apply on the prescribed application form for the Urs.
The annual Urs of Hazrat Amir Khusro (RA) is being held from November 7-13 at Delhi, India.
ACCORDING TO THE MINISTRY, THE ZAIREEN CAN OBTAIN APPLICATION FORM FREE OF COST FROM ANY OF THE FOLLOWING OFFICES: reception, ministry of religious affairs, zakat and ushr, near GPO, Islamabad, office of the director Haj, Karachi (Tel: 021-5688307), office of the director Haj, Lahore (Tel: 042:6375986), office of the director Haj, Peshawar (Tel:091-9217483,9217482), and office of the director Haj, Quetta (Tel: 081-443852).
It said that each application should accompany a Postal Order worth Rs 50 (non-refundable) prepared in the name of Ministry of Religious Affairs, Islamabad, with clear stamp of issuing post office. Similarly, photocopy of computerised national identity card (CNIC) issued by Nadra must be attached with each application.
It said that in case the applications are received more than the prescribed limit, selection of Zaireen will be made through open balloting. Government, semi government servants and those working in an autonomous body should route their application through proper channel. However, the applicants will have to submit their written permission (NOC) from their employers for the grant of ex-Pakistan leave before leaving for India.
Application on the prescribed form, addressed to Khalil Ahmad, Section Officer, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Zakat and Ushr, near GPO, Islamabad should reach by September 5, 2006. The applications received after due date would not be entertained.
