Special attention paid to nation's progress: minister

Federal Minister for Political Affairs and President of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) NWFP, Engr. Amir Muqam has said that present government is paying special attention on progress of the nation by laying a web of developmental schemes in every nook and corner of the country.
Addressing an open kutchery at his residence at Sangota in Swat district on Sunday, Engr Amir Muqam said that in the present set up people's funds is being spent on them and the government is trying to provide every possible facility to masses.
People gathered at open kutchery apprised the federal minister about problems faced by them.
Engr. Amir Muqam, who is also incharge of federal departments in NWFP directed the government officials to serve as public servants and try to perform their duties with full dedication. He issued special directives to officials of Wapda, Sui gas, PTCL and Baitul Mal to take prompt action over public complaints and try to redress them at the earliest. He said the purpose of holding open kutcheries is to resolve the problem being faced by people, especially of far-flung areas.
He said it is the priority of present government to provide relief to masses and PML leadership believes in practical measures. He said those who befooled masses through hollow slogans have been rejected by masses.
