Sialkot district government to introduce green rickshaw scheme

Sialkot district government has formulated a strategy for introducing "green rickshaw" scheme in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of the district for reducing the pollution load, revealed Sialkot District Nazim Muhammad Akmal Cheema.
Addressing a ceremony of Petroleum Dealers Association of Sialkot here late Saturday he added the Punjab Chief Minister would soon inaugurate the green rickshaw, which would surely help reduce the pollution load in all four tehsils headquarters of Sialkot district.
Sialkot district government he said would address the problems and difficulties being confronted by the petroleum dealers and effective policy had been implemented under, which for free of cost no objection certificate (NOC) were being issued to the petroleum dealers in the district. Akmal Cheema said the petroleum dealers were playing instrumental role and help in keeping the industrial wheel and daily chore in motion.
The district Nazim urged upon the petroleum dealers that they focus on setting up CNG filling stations and provide employment opportunities to unskilled jobless persons in Sialkot, Pasrur, Daska and Sambrial tehsils of the district. The NOC were being granted without any discrimination and political differences for ensuing maximum petrol pumps in the district he said. The district Nazim said that the due to the implementation of effective economic polices of the government the people were feeling sign of relief and people perceived the results of these policies.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Q government he said was utilising all available resources for improving the life style of the masses and had accorded special attention of banishing the backwardness from far-off and neglected regions of the country. President Petroleum Dealers Association Sialkot District Chaudhry Muhammad Safdar and other office holders spoke on the occasion.
