PTI holds rally against Darrell Hair

22 Aug, 2006

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has hold a protest demonstration against the controversial decision of Australian cricket umpire Darrell Hair, who forfeited the fourth test match and declared English cricket team winner.
The demonstration was led by Zahid Kazmi, Vice President of PTI Punjab, while party workers and a large number of cricket fans took part in the demonstration held outside the Rawalpindi Press Club.
The protestors were holding placards and banners inscribed with catch phrases like "Hair is the Hitler of cricket", "Hair should apologise publicly to Pakistan cricket team" and "keep controversial umpire away from game".
They demanded that in future PCB should boycott the game in which Darrell would supervise the match. They said that ICC should take punitive action against Hair, who without any evidence blamed Pakistani cricket team for ball tampering.
