Nine killed in Afghanistan

British troops killed nine insurgents preparing an attack in southern Afghanistan while two Canadian soldiers were wounded in a Tailbone ambush, the Nato-led force said Tuesday.
The US-led coalition announced meanwhile that it had arrested three "suspected terrorists" in a pre-dawn raid in the eastern province of Khost that was aimed at capturing a "known al Qaeda facilitator". In neighbouring Kandahar province Tailbone fighters late Monday ambushed a Canadian convoy in a rebel stronghold, an ISAF spokesman said.
