Sofia Ismail, chairperson of Ismaili Welfare Trust, has expressed deep concern over reports that Pakistan's scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan is suffering from prostrate cancer. In a statement here on Wednesday, she urged the Muslim Ummah to pray for recovery of Dr A.Q. Khan. She also asked the government to take immediate steps for his treatment.
She further said that due to Khan's services, Pakistan has attained nuclear capability.
