'MMA created investment climate in NWFP'

25 Aug, 2006

NWFP Senior Minister Siraj-ul-Haq has said the Frontier Province has become the most peaceful part of Pakistan due to realistic measures of the government of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) a congenial climate for development and investment including trade, commerce, industries and tourism has been created.
Addressing a reception hosted by Pakistanis and their British friends at Bradford during his visit to United Kingdom, he said that the people would also never disappoint the visitors and tourists owing to their religious and cultural values of hospitality.
He clarified that an impression of law and order situation was created due to operation of the Central government in the federally administered tribal belt adjacent to the province while he himself noticed such a concern as well but the reply was that the NWFP was completely peaceful in all respects and its people including the minorities were given more better sense of security.
He said that there would be no better proof of peace there that any foreign tourist or trader could freely move in any part of the province wherein even the locals would guarantee their safety but on the other hand they had to seek permission of the federal government for entering Fata for security.
Siraj said the reformation of society campaign of the MMA government was made successful by the people themselves that greatly helped in dropping the graph of crimes.
He also made it clear that the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal was a pure democratic alliance of the religio political parties that was endeavouring for completely eliminating dictatorship from Pakistan and hence wanted friendly relations with all democratic forces of the world.
