Aurakzai, Durrani review law and order situation

NWFP Governor Lieutenant General Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai (Retd) and the Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani in a meeting held at Governor's House, here on Thursday reviewed the law and order situation in the province and discussed related various matters.
During the discussion, law and order situation in Fata also came under discussion and in this connection, progress made so far was described as satisfactory. This, it was added, will definitely bring positive effects on accelerating pace of work on the ongoing development projects as well as ensuring their timely completion.
It was also noted that the initiatives taken by the government to ensure security on the border areas between Fata and settled districts are also yielding positive results and this would definitely lead to bring a pleasant change in the life of the people of the respective areas.
They also expressed the determination to maintain close co-ordination in future as well. Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Information and Public Relations, Asif Iqbal Daudzai called on the NWFP Governor. He remained with the Governor for some time and discussed various matters pertaining to the well being of the people of the province.
He apprised the Governor about various aspects of the working of his portfolios, with special reference to the efforts being made by the provincial government towards the promotion of social and political awareness among people especially to further strengthen the spirit of national cohesion and unity among the masses through the development and uplift of various means of journalism in the province.
The Minister, who hails from Daudzai area of District Peshawar, also briefed the Governor about the ongoing relief as well as rehabilitation process for the people who have been displaced because of recent floods, especially in the Peshawar valley.
