25 Aug, 2006

A central leader of PPP and former law minister Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan has said that Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz should immediately resign after were found responsible for his misdeeds in the privatisation of Pakistan Steel Mills.
He proposed that former caretaker prime minister Chaudhry Shujat Hussain should hold the office of the Prime Minister till a proposed review petition is filed and upheld by the Supreme Court.
Talking to a private TV channel he said that the examples of wrongdoing in the trades of sugar, cement, stock market and then in the privatisation of Steel Mills are more than sufficient to prove that worst-ever corruption is being practised by the rules who have no sympathy for masses and the country.
To a question Aitzaz Ahsan said that the parliament has been denied its authority while MNAs are being allowed to receive the daily allowance for seven days of a week while it meets only for three days during this period. "I wrote to the speaker and refused to receive the daily allowance as no parliamentarian is justified to collect money for those days wherein there had been no sitting of the House", he said.
